SPOTRUSHAZ AT U.W.I. SOCIAL CLUB – REVIEW BY STELLER

October 9, 2006

Ok so i attended the Spotrushaz show last night. It was held at the U.W.I. Social Club, St. Augustine, Trinidad.
We were treated to live entertainment before the show, including skilled fire eaters/breathers then a performance from Kind David.
Spotrushaz took the stage between 1.30-2.00 in the morning backed by local dj Jus Jase (the only Trinidadian dj to grace the sets of rap city on BET). They performed to a very scanty crowd but that didn’t stop them from putting up a great performance. Chromatics sang Basement Party, a tribute to the late Andre Tanker, featuring Sheldon Holder from 12 the band.

They closed the show with their latest single Mary Warner which the few members of the audience enjoyed.
Part of their set was a throw back (old school hip hop), with songs from the late B.I.G and Tupac
